Qualifications
- Nurses must have one of the following: a bachelor’s of science in nursing, an associate’s degree in nursing, or have graduated from an accredited and approved nursing program.
- Licensure is required, and may be obtained from graduating an approved nursing program and passing the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN).
- Paramedics must have completed an accredited program in good standing.
- Paramedics must have an associates degree in EMS or a bachelor’s degree and an active paramedic license with current BLS completion.
- Skill profile: nurses and paramedics will need to be competent in IV initiation and medication administration.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience required with frequent IV placement – preferably in ICU, ER or pre-operative departments.
Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Our nurses and paramedics will need to be able to initiate intravenous lines and administer basic vitamins and medications.
- Must be comfortable performing these tasks in our patients’ homes, offices and hotels.
- Be able to utilize a HIPAA compliant app based phone platform to set bookings, complete charting and retail appointments.
- Have a valid US driver’s license in good standing with the ability to travel to appointments to deliver care – it is required that you own or have access to a vehicle with which to do this and be insured.
- Be available for at minimum 20 hours per month with increased pay rates and commissions for greater amounts of time.
- Be available for at least one weekend per month.
- Provide dedicated one on one home infusion care and appropriate patient education.
- Be polite and courteous with patients, show compassion and patience where required, and be able to demonstrate critical thinking skills in the event of an adverse reaction.
